VMG Technics is celebrating two significant milestones – the company’s 20th anniversary and the first year of operations of the VMG Technics Industrial Innovation Park in Dirvupiai, Klaipėda district.

Two Decades of Transformation and Engineering Excellence
Founded in 2005 as VMG Expedition, the company began its journey focusing on wood chipping and logistics optimisation. Over the past two decades, it has undergone continuous transformation, expanding into production automation, advanced engineering, research and development, and the establishment of specialized subsidiaries.

Today, VMG Technics is a sustainable, innovation-driven engineering organization employing more than 400 professionals. Its portfolio includes high value-added automation, robotisation, and process optimisation solutions delivered to clients in international markets. Efficiency, technological advancement, and long-term growth have remained the guiding principles throughout this evolution.

“Our history is a testament to continuous transformation, where efficiency and technology have always gone hand in hand with growth. Thank you to everyone who has been and continues to be part of this journey. We look forward to many more years of courage, discovery, and progress,” says Mantas Leknius, CEO of VMG Technics.

One Year of the Industrial Innovation Park
On September 5, 2024, VMG Technics opened the doors of its Industrial Innovation Park in Dirvupiai – the largest facility of its kind in the Baltic States. In its first year of operation, the Park has become a dynamic hub for engineering innovation and industrial testing.

During this period:
– Strategic partnerships were established with major national and international companies, laying the foundation for long-term collaboration;
– Key agreements were signed to ensure consistent planning for 2025 and define growth directions for 2026;
– Dozens of complex projects were successfully implemented;
– Employee competencies were strengthened through targeted training and hands-on experience;
– Advanced equipment was installed to guarantee high production quality and operational reliability;
– A collaborative environment was fostered where ideas evolve into innovative solutions and tangible industrial products.

Recognising the pace of growth and the increasing demand for engineering talent, the company has also expanded its investment in education. This year, cooperation agreements were signed with Lithuanian schools, and preparations are underway to launch the “VMG Engineering Code” initiative. The programme will provide educational activities, promote engineering professions, and share technological expertise to inspire the younger generation and strengthen Lithuania’s future industrial potential.

“The first year has exceeded expectations – the Park has already become an integral part of our innovation development and testing ecosystem,” notes CEO Mantas Leknius.

Together, these anniversaries reflect both the strength of accumulated experience and a forward-looking ambition. By combining two decades of expertise with a state-of-the-art innovation infrastructure, VMG Technics continues to reinforce its position as a technology partner shaping the future of modern manufacturing.
