VMG Technics, in partnership with GEEC Education, has launched “VMG Engineering Code” – a long-term educational initiative designed to inspire young people to explore careers in engineering and technology.
The project officially began on October 1, when the first group of high school students visited VMG Technics’ facilities for an immersive introduction to modern industry. The programme combined theoretical sessions with practical exposure: students attended lectures and toured the production site, where they observed robotics, artificial intelligence, and product development processes in real industrial environments.
By opening its doors to students, VMG Technics aims to bridge the gap between classroom learning and practical application, demonstrating that advanced engineering careers can be built in Lithuania.
National-Level Discussion and First Semester Results
The successful completion of the first semester was marked by national attention. The initiative was featured on LRT Radijas programme “Dešimt balų”, where its impact and broader challenges in engineering education were discussed with Paulius Jakuitis, co-creator of “VMG Engineering Code” and CEO of GEEC Education.
The discussion highlighted key issues currently shaping the education landscape – increasing interest in engineering studies alongside noticeable knowledge gaps and persistent stereotypes about the profession. These insights reflect the realities VMG Technics encounters when engaging directly with students.
The first semester delivered measurable impact:
– 6 event days
– 196 participating students
– 9 high schools involved
– Regions reached: Mažeikiai, Klaipėda, Telšiai, Telšiai district, and Plungė
Teacher feedback further confirms the programme’s value:
– 100% rated the overall experience 5 out of 5
– 100% would recommend the programme to colleagues
Investing in Regional Talent and Long-Term Growth
“VMG Engineering Code” is positioned not as a short-term campaign, but as a strategic response to a clear and pressing need – fostering technological literacy, reducing misconceptions about engineering careers, and encouraging informed career decisions among young people.
By investing in education and regional engagement, VMG Technics contributes to building stronger local communities and supporting Lithuania’s long-term technological competitiveness. The company has confirmed that the project will continue, expanding its reach and strengthening dialogue between industry and education.
Schools interested in participating in upcoming programme activities are invited to register, as the next stages of “VMG Engineering Code” are already underway.
